The Heirloom Remodel

FORT WORTH

Working alongside family always brings an added layer of meaning to a project, and this Fort Worth remodel was no exception. Designed for my sister, brother-in-law, and their family of six, this home was thoughtfully reimagined to feel elevated, inviting, and effortlessly livable for everyday life and years of gathering to come.

Together, we transformed the kitchen, laundry room, bar, dining room, living room, and primary bathroom into spaces that feel timeless, layered, and perfect for a busy family! My sister has always gravitated toward classic design with warmth and character, so our goal was to create interiors that felt refined yet approachable, beautiful enough to inspire while comfortable enough to truly live in.

One of the greatest sources of inspiration came directly from her garden and the surrounding Fort Worth landscape. We wanted to bring those beautiful organic colors indoors by layering soft greens, earthy neutrals, rich textures, and subtle pattern throughout the home to create a collected and welcoming feel. The result is a home that feels connected to nature, full of warmth, and thoughtfully designed to evolve alongside a busy family life.

To bring the vision to life, we partnered with the original builders of the home, creating a meaningful full circle collaboration that helped seamlessly transform the house into the family’s dream home while honoring its original character and architecture.

Throughout the interiors, we incorporated a thoughtful mix of stained and painted cabinetry, warm brass accents, richly veined quartzite countertops, and timeless wallpaper selections to add depth, texture, and personality to each space. Every detail was intentionally considered to create a home that feels elevated yet enduring, balancing beauty and functionality in a way that feels authentic to how this family lives.

This project is ultimately a reflection of home in its truest sense: welcoming, layered, lived in, and designed for gathering.
