The Villa at Amarra

BARTON CREEK

Some of our favorite projects are the ones that tell a story, not just through the design, but through the relationships behind them.

We've had the privilege of working with this wonderful couple for more than twenty years, partnering with them on more than ten homes and renovation projects. Over the years, we've come to know not only their design aesthetic, but also how they live, entertain, travel, and gather with family and friends. That history made this project especially meaningful, allowing us to create a home that feels effortlessly personal.

Our role in this villa was centered around furnishings and bringing warmth to the home through thoughtful layering. We introduced a palette of earthy, collected tones that softened the interiors and created a welcoming sense of comfort. Vintage rugs, expressive artwork, richly textured textiles, custom furnishings, wallpaper, and carefully selected paint colors all came together to give the home a sense of depth and character.

Rather than filling the home with new pieces, our goal was to create spaces that felt curated over time. We wanted each room to tell a story and reflect the lives of the people who call it home. Every selection was made with intention, balancing timeless design with comfort, personality, and livability.

Projects like this are a reminder of why we love what we do. Designing for clients over many years is one of the greatest privileges of our work. It allows us to create homes that evolve alongside the families who live in them, resulting in spaces that feel authentic, personal, and beautifully lived in.
